These General Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed through the BitByBit webshop.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Products

BitByBit designs and sells cutting boards made from PHA, produced in the Netherlands.

We do our best to display our products as accurately as possible. However, slight differences in color, texture, finish, or appearance may occur. This is especially possible because our boards are made with natural-looking tones and material characteristics.

Product descriptions, images, prices, and availability may be updated from time to time.

3. Orders

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

An order is accepted once payment has been successfully completed and the order has been confirmed. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in case of incorrect pricing, stock issues, suspected fraud, or other reasonable circumstances.

If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will contact you and refund any payment already received.

4. Prices

All prices are shown in the currency displayed on the webshop.

Prices include VAT where applicable, unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs, import duties, taxes, or other local charges may be added during checkout or charged by local authorities for international shipments.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes do not affect orders that have already been confirmed.

BitByBit does not offer Buy Now, Pay Later payment methods such as Klarna, Afterpay, Riverty, or similar services. We believe purchases should remain simple, transparent, and responsible. A cutting board is a useful everyday product, but it should not encourage unnecessary debt or impulsive spending.

6. Shipping

BitByBit products are produced and shipped from the Netherlands. The production location and shipping point are located close to each other, helping us keep transport distances as short as possible and reduce the overall footprint of each order.

Orders are usually processed within 1 to 3 business days, unless stated otherwise on the product page.

Estimated delivery times may vary depending on the destination, carrier, and customs processing. Delivery times shown on the website are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and depend on the delivery address.

For orders outside the European Union, import duties, VAT, customs fees, or other local charges may apply. These costs are determined by the destination country and are the responsibility of the customer, unless stated otherwise during checkout.

7. Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your online purchase within 14 days after receiving your order, without giving a reason. This follows the EU right of withdrawal for online purchases. (European Union)

8. Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, the product must be:

• Returned within the applicable return period

• In its original condition

• Clean, unused, and undamaged

• Returned with the original packaging where reasonably possible

For hygiene reasons, we may not be able to accept returns of products that have clearly been used, washed, damaged, or handled beyond what is necessary to inspect the product.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the product arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect.

9. Refunds

Once we have received and inspected your return, we will notify you by email.

If the return is approved, we will refund the purchase amount using the original payment method.

Refunds are usually processed within 14 days after we have received the returned product or after you have provided proof that the product has been shipped back.

For EU consumer returns, the standard outbound delivery cost will also be refunded where legally required. Any extra delivery costs resulting from choosing a more expensive shipping method than the standard option are not refundable.

10. Warranty

BitByBit cutting boards come with a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase.

This warranty covers manufacturing defects and material defects under normal household use.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

• Normal wear and tear

• Cuts, scratches, or marks from knives

• Improper use

• Exposure to excessive heat

• Use in dishwashers above the recommended temperature

• Warping caused by high temperatures

• Dropping, impact, or misuse

• Use in ovens, microwaves, grills, or near open flames

• Commercial or professional use, unless agreed otherwise in writing

BitByBit cutting boards are dishwasher-safe, but we recommend using dishwasher programs up to 60°C. Higher temperatures may affect the shape of the board.

11. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours after delivery at:

Please include:

• Your order number

• A short description of the issue

• Clear photos of the product

• Clear photos of the packaging

We will review the issue and look for a suitable solution, such as a replacement or refund.

12. Use of the Product

BitByBit cutting boards are designed for normal kitchen use.

The product should not be exposed to excessive heat, open flames, ovens, microwaves, grills, or industrial dishwashing conditions unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing.

The customer is responsible for using and maintaining the product according to the care instructions provided.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on the BitByBit website, including text, images, product designs, brand names, logos, graphics, and other materials, is owned by BitByBit or used with permission.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without prior written permission.

14. Liability

BitByBit is not liable for indirect damages, consequential damages, loss of profit, or damage resulting from improper use of the product.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits your legal consumer rights or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

15. Force Majeure

BitByBit is not responsible for delays or failure to fulfil obligations caused by events outside our reasonable control. This may include, but is not limited to, carrier delays, customs delays, supply chain disruptions, strikes, natural events, government measures, or technical failures.

16. Kickstarter Orders

Orders placed through Kickstarter are processed separately from webshop orders.

Kickstarter rewards are handled according to the planning, updates, and fulfilment information shared through Kickstarter. These webshop Terms and Conditions apply to orders placed directly through the BitByBit webshop, unless stated otherwise.

17. Privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Personal data is only used where necessary to process orders, handle customer service, manage payments, arrange shipping, and comply with legal obligations.
